There are holidays all through out the year and to most schools it is customary to give the students the day off but there is one school in Bakersfield that does not believe in giving there students any brakes. They make there students come to class when all other students get the day off to celebrate the holiday and relax. My friends that attend other schools have day off and don’t have to attend class. They get other days off as well but here at Devry students might get Christmas brake and that’s pretty much all. We don’t even get Spring Brake off they say that the most we come to class the better education we get. But what I say is that the students all need brakes to relax our minds or we can get stressed out.

Energy drinks have become very popular among teens and our society now in day. I have noticed that in this generation there is a energy drink in almost every body’s hand. When I was in high school there would be an energy drink (Rock star and Monster)  in a lot of the students hands.

I had strong body class for first period and almost all of the guys would go get one so that they could “wake up” and have enough energy to work out. I’m not going to lie and say I was not one of those guys but I did do some research and seen that drinking energy drinks frequently they could mess up your body and probably cause a heart attack.

I never thought that it was true until it happened close to home. One day I went to West High School to take my girl friend a Rock star because she was feeling lazy and wanted one to wake up. Well after she drank it she started feeling sick while at work and she had to go home. Nobody knew what was going wrong with her but then she started shaking a lot and we had to take her to the hospital and they said that her body could not take it and she  had an allergic reaction.

Since then when i see someone drinking one I feel that it is my obligation to tell them what could happen to them and there body.

So don’t drink ENERGY DRINKS THERE NOT GOOD FOR YOU!

Valentine day is almost here, there is only three more days. I have been noticing that these last couple of days everyone has been going crazy getting their loved ones things for Thursday to show that special someone how much they are about them.

I didn’t think that it was that big of a deal to go all out and do everything that people do on that day. I would see all my friends going crazy thinking on things to do for that day and i would laugh and make fun of them. I have to say that I am one of them know too, since I have been with my girlfriend I have to become one of those people. She has changed me in many ways and it’s not in a bad way because she is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Now I know what people mean when they say that they are happy with a  person and that they can  see themselves spending the rest of their life with a certain person because now I can say the same thing.

Who will be our next president? No matter who wins this election will make history….we will either have the first black president or the first women president. The election seems to be split for now but from what I know about it Hillary has won the votes of almost every one in California.

If it was up to me it wouldn’t make that much of a difference to me but if I could pick the next president I would pick the girl. I think that there is a better chance of her making it just because of her husband and the fact that he has already been in that position and he knows what he is doing… we will see what happens and how our country evolves or falls even more then it already is….even tho I don’t think we could be any worse we will see which way our country will go.

All my life I’ve been interested in cars. Since I was small I would take apart my little model cars and customize them to make them look different. I was never into the “racer”or “import” models, instead my attention was drawn from the classics and old school rat rods.

I began to work on real cars when I was about nine or ten and the very first car I ever worked on was a 1962 Cadillac. It was my older cousins and from there on I knew  I was going to be what is known as a “Cadillac Guy”.

I have spent mos of my time working on cars like 1960,1962,1967 Cadillacs and then I got into building my daily drive witch was suppose to be a simple black chevy came out to be a truck that pushes 635 horse power to the wheels! It has been rated to be one of the fastest trucks in all of Kern County.

Sunday nights game was great! I wasn’t going to watch it because I don’t really care for either team.

I went camping to Hot Springs with my cousins and my girlfriend, we got up there Saturday morning. We set up tents and then went off-roding with this 04 chevy I took up there.

We ate, went swimming in the heated pools, and camped out around the fire. At about eleven at night we woke up and it was snowing like crazy! We stayed till Sunday and then packed and went back home.

Then it was time for the Super Bowl party! We got together to watch it on the big screen t.v and barbecued . The game was not as great at the beginning but the last forty minutes of the game it got GREAT! The Giants took over and won the game thanks to there Q.B. It was a great game and it turned out just how I wanted it to because if the Patriots would have won they would have went down in the books but because they lost they don’t! The Patriost kind of remind me of a racist team so that’s another reason I’m glad they lost.

I work at a shop that is very stressful. I help manage it and at the same time I’m a sales representative. I spend almost all my time there and when I’m not  there I spend my time at school or doing my homework. I rarely  get any time to my self or to do the things that I like to.

          Not to long ago I found a hobby that helped me relax. I started to draw, thanks to my girl friend and a good friend of mine Bobby I got into drawing. It’s a great way to open my mind to new things. When I find my self drawing I find my self in another world.

Even if a person is not a good artist you can always improve your skills and try new things there are so many different types of art that there’s one for every one.

If you can’t find a way to relax your self try drawing or just doing some type of art and see what kind of affect it has on you.

The cars that I work on here at Coronas Automotive and Wrecking are mostly old school cars like my 60 Cadillac, 67 Cadillac and my 50 Ford Shoebox. I have a 91 Chevy pick up that I use as a daily driver….this truck has taken 1st place in many shows. It has a 2002 Corvette Ls1 engine, Tranny,and performance chip. It is one of the fastest trucks out there! There is nothing original about this truck and yo have to see it to believe  it,it  is out of this world! it has to many things to list!

My hobby’s include working on old cars like old Cadillacs, Ford Shoe-boxes, and Rat Rods. i work at a shop so I’m around cars all day. Most people would get tired of it but I don’t they are my life…I’ve been working on cars since I was like nine and in my mind I think I have learned a lot of cool stuff.

That’s not my only hobby I also go to the gym and work out every ones in a while but as of five months back the biggest hobby that I have is my girl friend Natalie. I spend all my time with her and enjoy it.

Those are my hobby’s and some of the stuff that I enjoy doing.
